I opted for a PDQ as it is on the side of the van in a bag and then rolled out when needed. It only takes a few minutes to set up, so pretty damn quick (PDQ)
Has a little more space too in case you need to store things

Hi I've got two an Outdoor Revolution Porchlite Plus for winter weekends away (its only small - somewhere to put wellies etc) and a Kampa Rally 390 for the summer, and a bedroom pod for it too.

I've tried various porch awnings and found the Outdoor Revolution models to be some of the best around.
I have a Porchlite XL for odd use, which is a huge size and more than ample for what it is. The Compactalite 250 then suits us for longer breaks. The Bradcot now gathers dust as I find either of the porches more than adequate for us. Good quality, lightweight and good to pitch.
A link to their porch awnings is here
We have two.
An Apache canvas job and a lightweight Royal 260.
We rarely use anything else ecept the 260.
Its quick and easy to put up and big enough for the two us a table and chairs, our dog and our boots!

We have 2 porch awnings, a dorema canvas type & an outdoor revolution quick erect one. The dorema one came with the caravan and if we were to think about replacing it I would think about buying one with zip out side panels which allow you to attach an annex which would be useful if you needed extra space. Think it's called a combi awning.
Once you've decided on the type of awning you're after,it would be worth checking out the Free Ads' section on here...
..as sometimes awnings tend to be something that get bought(..almost "collected"?!),only to find out later that they weren't really what was wanted/needed after all..
At one point we had several(Driveaway*,Porch and Canopy),we only ever really used the porch(an Outdoor Revolution EasiPorch)in anger...Having said that, having a MH,we don't tend to stay in one spot that ong,so we wanted something light and easy to put up).
(* Although not meant for caravans,a driveaway awning may come in handy for you?.. because you could just use it with you van,if you wanted to pop of camping without the caravan? Just a thought..)
