Yes, you can buy a damp meter tester, they vary in price. Maplin do one. Johno.

just a little tip for when you store your caravan in winter.  Place a bowl of salt in each of the rooms, and this will absorb the moisture, saving u from that 'orrible damp musty smell in spring!  A frind of mine tried after her Chef son told her to give it a try and it really worked.  salt was wet, van was dry!
