From the Alpkit February newsletter: Gamma headtorch
Gamma was voted 'best value' headtorch in Februarys Trail magazine. It is now back in stock and thanks to a favourable exchange rate we have been able to slice another £2.50 off making it even better value!
I bought a Gamma Head Torch as soon as i saw it announced in an online forum, ages ago.Everyone said they used it,alongside other people using other head torches, and the Gamma was far superior in so many ways, especially the price they paid for it.
My experience is pretty similar to the people glorifying it.It is an excellent head torch, and well worth buying.I can also have fun with it,by simply changing colours.Last Halloween,i was walking around the house constantly with the colour green on,and at christmas, the colour red was always used. The different colours also add to reading etc,and are quite helpful when i have a headache,as he light is not too bright.
When fresh batteries are first installed, the light is very bright, with all 3 colours, but, after about 8 hours, there is a marked drop in light output.I really hope Alpkit develope this sensational torch,to be able to take superior batteries.Having Surefire batteries that work with the Alpkit head torch, would be a dream come true.

My Gamma head torch has arrived, very prompt delivery. Duracell batteries included, and it seems very bright, even here in the office at work (and it's got dimmer, flashing, red, green options). It has a red light on the rear facing battery housing, so I can use it for cycling as well. Cool .
