we got our 1st roof bars and roof box last year(Mont Blanc bars + Hapro box) and now want to add a roof mounted cycle carrier(we have room at the side of the box)

looked at Thule freeride/proride, Mont Blanc Scott/Barracuda/Discovery, Automaxi Silver Al, Avenir Utah and Atera Giro AF

Any opinions - i don't mind paying the extra if its safer+ easier to fit

Have you enough spare roof weight allowance for that as well as the box?

should be fine

used to put 2 bikes in roof box with few lighter camping bits around

now 1 bike in box 1 bike on cycle carrier so weight no difference

only kids bikes as well

We bought the Halfords Advanced ones. Hubby well impressed with them and they were about half the price of Thule. I think they were only sold in packs of 2 though.

We've got 2 Thules. We keep them on all the time and have had no problems at all - they've been on for about 2 years now ! Probably should spray some WD40 on soon I guess !
