When I buy new stuff, I buy it to go with our current outfit. So new stuff is red/russet based as that goes with our caravan. But the folding camper we had was green, so stuff I bought when we had that was green - and I'm not getting rid of perfectly servicable equipment just because it's the 'wrong' colour! (And my pans are blue, simply because they are Tefal and blue was the only option!)
I can also vouch for Andy's colour co-ordination OCD...........even down to his cloth's ........... I'm off shopping now and its all got to be dark turquoise/grey to match my gorgeous new Itaca donated by Fostermum........... thanks Annexxxxxxxxxxxx

you're very welcome - looking forward to seeing the colour co-ordinated lil blending gracefully into the background of her tent the next time we meet up!!!
------------- Anne - mad mum to one - foster mum to many - adoptatent to you guys!
We have a beige tent, and we are sooo not beige people so our 'theme' is tropical rainbows......
Started with the plates & bowls couldn't pick a colour we both wanted so went for a bright tropical rainbow effort with fuscia, orange, lime green and turquoise, which provides us with our basic palete. However when we went to the Viking Volks fest we fell in love with the flag/twister/spinner poles and all the colourful flags you can get. Plus there was a guy who had blinged his tent to the max (should have taken a piccie but would have been out of place as everyone else was taking pics of the dubs!!) As a result of this guy and his blinged tent we now have metal flower tea light holders that are on stakes that go in the ground, various rainbow/brightly coloured flags (plus the pirate one for husband and the england/WHUFC one for child), 2 tropical flower door damgly curtains (to keep out the flies I told OH!!).
We take 6 feather cushions instead of pillows from home, and have a guess what colour .. yes rainbow colours
The fleeces ..... 3 spotty rainbows and 3 stripey rainbows (we like to be snug!!)
Stickers to go on the windows bring in more colour and light and also give us the privacy (Stickerman on ebay is the best place we found). Our windows are not very big so I guess we can get away with it!! Got some more to put on when we go next weekend.
Because we don't have 1 fixed colour providing its bright and/or has a tropical pattern we'll get it. We love our dull tropical tent, one things for certain with all the flags/nightlights/glo sticks/door dangly curtain thingies you can't miss us!!
Given that almost all my tents were more or less the same shade of Vango blue, the question never arose. Blue tent, blue gear when i had the option and over the years it just sort of happened that way. Then we bought a grey and maroon trailer tent and that did need a full set of equipment to leave packed inside, so that was okay too. I don't mind going for matching colours when I actually need to buy something and the ideal item comes in a colour that goes with the tent and when you're just buying domesticey stuff like fleeces, crockery and chairs there's a lot of choice of colours with no impact at all on performance.
Then I bought a green Vango. Ah. I looked sideways at my blue canopy and "lightweight" blue tent kit thought s*d it. I spend and will continue to spend a small fortune on camping kit that's exactly fit for purpose, especially if it packs up small. I've already got most of what I think is ideal for my needs. I'm not going to have two sets of lightweight kit just because I have two colours of tent.
Exceptions to all the above are my Hago kitchen stand, vintage, burnt orange, goes with nothing except our long gone vintage 70's TT and still the finest kitchen stand ever made so it's staying. And the car. I was actually given a choice of a silver or Mondeo when we bought it (was from an ex-hire fleet batch) and it did crawl into my head that blue wouldn't go with the TT cover, lol. Mind you it would have matched the Vangos when parked beside one of them, mmmm?

I do like tents with a bit of individual style rather than Camping Mag perfect. My style tends to run to functional, minimalistic chaos with added bike park but your's sounds a lot more fun!
Padster....you got me thinking....we've got that foam flooring for the tent, great insulating properties but i use it with the grey side(matching the tent and stuff) uppermost....however the other side is coloured red/green/yellow and blue...i might throw caution (and co-ordination) to the wind and go with the coloured side uppermost...oooo racy....
Promise photos will be posted just as soon as I can a) work out how to and b) have photos of the rainbow tropical dream fabric bungalow!! And yes its fun and turns heads but we don't rightly care!!
I bought a hago kitchen stand today and love it. Its black, brown and grey but its so great I dont care if it clashes lol. I had a bright orange one that came with a tent I bought last year but I sold it as I thought at the time they were horrible but have since regretted selling it.
The one I bought today looks brand new, it was £15 and even came in the original box.
