We used a 20w low voltage, but I guess a normal one would give off more light

thanks for that. for your info a 20w low wattage is the same as 100w normal which is way i asked because a 20w normal bulb would be useless.

We went through a huge amount of grief when we had to place the bulb in our Tauri,  On removing the bulb the printed info on it was very faded.  I couldn't really read it but convinced myself it said 20w.  I then set off on a fruitless search for 20w halogen bulbs of that wattage and fitting - as you say, as best as I can tell no such things exist.  Had to replace it with a 25w bulb.

Since then, whenever we use it I wait for it to burst into flames or some other bad dream from my nightmares! :-)

When you removed you spent original bulb did you happen to note if it was a 25w or did you have the same problem and go through a  mad Google session trying to fin a bulb of the wattage printed on the box?

This is literally a brand new unit purchased yesterday, the advice on the box says "maximum 20w" but the original equipment SUPPLIED WITH THE LAMP is DEFINATELY 25w and these can be obtained on ebay easily, we have tested ours and it gives a very good light output, its not as if the wattage is being exceeded by a vast degree and if this is the one actually supplied by Outwell I feel safe to use it.
