I've bought a second hand trailer and it came with the load bars (not the tall ones that fit over the ABS lid). When i collected the trailer (in December!) the bars weren't fitted and now i'm trying to fit them i'm really struggling!!! The guy i bought it off just handed me a sandwich bag full of nuts and bolts and some metal plates that obviously clamp the bars onto the side of the trailer... But i have no idea how as there is no instructions... Not even sure they are the correct bolts!!!
Does anyone have these bars and have any advise/instruction on how they fit?
If not possible, the trailer should have a makers plate somewhere. If you can find out who made it, have a look on their website. Instructions are often included there, or if not there might be a Contact Us with a phone number. They might even be willing to mail you the instructions.
It's a Daxara 127 which is the same as an Erde 122... I no longer have the sellers details (was 5 months ago now!). I have trawled the internet for downloadable instructions with no joy and called a few Erde dealers again with no joy!
Asking on here is my last hope before i sling the dam things!!!
Will go and check if there is a helpline number printed on the trailer somewhere
Hi Reemo - did you ever manage to get this sorted after? I've got a similar problem and was wondering if you had any pics of your load bars mounted to the trailer? Hoping you can help!
I am sure that you are right and you do need to drill the side panel the brackets sit on the top of the side panel with a bolt above the side then there is a lower bolt that you do need to drill the side panel for.
I will find out tomorrow and add instructions if I have some.
I found some fitting instructions for the fitting of ABS load bars but not standard loadbars
