I bought a stellar IH a couple of years ago and to make sure I got the right cookware i just took a fridge magnet out with me. If it held to the bottom of the pan i knew it was ok to use.

Picking up on an old thread here but see Lidl will have another induction hob on sale next week for £34.99 - I know some have said they're crap quality but do come with 3 yr warranty.
Anyway I bought two last year for home use (different design), cheaper to run than electric cooker hob. The quality is fine. Just finding suitable non stick pans at a reasonable price is the issue. Tesco's sell some good quality ones but aren't cheap and Argos one's are cheap and poor quality.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
