------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.
The hair dryer will be ok if used on one of the lower heat settings.
To be sure you need to have a look on the side of the dryer to see what power it is, if it is a big dryer it will probably be about 2KW which will trip the supply on full power, one of the lower setting will be OK.
The strighteners will be OK.
As said before any thing 1400w or below will be fine, the wattage of a appliance is nearly always printed on it.
I've just bought my GF a Babyliss Tiny Titan 1000W Hair dryer as we're camping on a site with 6 amp EHU soon. You can get them from Amazon and the like for less than a tenner.
I'll report back on how good it is when we're back from our trip.

I've got this hairdryer & used it in France last year on 6amp hook up no probs at all - despite being small its really very powerful and would highly recommend it to anyone as probably the best travel hairdryer you can buy! Just make sure all but your fridge is switched off when you are using it.
Many thanks everybody that has put my mind at rest and I will not be going to this site as cant be with out my dryer!!! x
In the long ago days when few tent pitches even had access to electricity and I still had the kind of hairdo that needed drying....I used to plug my hair drier in at the loo block, or even the laundry room. Why not do that?
I got bored with drying my hair a few years ago though, and grew it long. Wash, comb and go. I reckon I've reclaimed several years of my life back between giving up drying hair and giving up ironing.
Ooh no I fully sympathise with the hair thing. I rarely wear make up and Im happy slobbing around in my jeans & crocs but the hair!!!! My hair is fairly long but its that shaggy sticky out stuff - I'd love to be able to wash and go but I need a hairdryer just to look human. I was ecstatic when hook ups came to camping as when I was younger you had to phone the site to find out if they actually had a socket in their shower blocks and very often queue for it.
Snap Fiona, I am just the same, my hair is short and that sticky out stuff. I need to use a dryer to tame it, I hibernate whenever we have a power cut at home!, would love to be able to wash and go!
