Memory foam toppers are really good. I have used one and wouldn't mind getting one for the M/H.

Any ideas where you can get one for sensible money?

I got 2 single memory foam toppers from here: At a very reasonalble cost, 12.50 a piece i think?

They also do the lighter type if you call them for motor homes and the like, to save on bulk and weight.

I can honestly say, I have never slept better than after adding this layer to my caravan cusions.

I also made some cotton covers for them out of some old sleeping bag liners, and also if you put them into a king size duvet, and sew a seam midway for the topper and a single duvet, you have then made a home made kind of Duvalay..I like this better than a sleeping bag.

I use a one inch memory foam topper on my fishing bed in my van- fabulously comfortable. I cut mine to the right width as it was a double that Id bought for my bed at home and never used it .

Memory Foam - Silent Night mattress topper from Argos - absolutely amazing!

69.99 I think, or it was about a month ago!

i got a couple of 4" ones from ebay ,very comfy but i cannot fathom how the thin ones work any weight will compress them until you have just a bed sheet thick bit of compressed foam between you and the ordinary mattress.
i'v of course suckered myself because just a couple of years ago hard was good and i expect once memory foams get a bit stale in the mind hard "orthopaedic" mattresses will again be the vital asset to sleep
as for comfort yes they are but so was the soft mattresses we used to have before the wise advertisers in their spiel told us hard (meaning less covering between the springs and you ,which translates top more profit) was better

theres also grossly inflated priced "named" mattresses who use a couple of cm's of memory foam stuck to cheap nasty foam thats been around for years
listening to the rubbish they spout touting them on shopping channels "foam" in their eyes seems to be a new phenomena when foam used to be a cheap and nasty alternative to expensive sprung ones ,next year no doubt springs will be good foam bad
even "memory" foam is rubbish if it had a memory your body shape would still be there from the night before ,its just foam and acts like all foam does
