Well, two actually. £7.75 from Towsure. Just been trying it out and it works great....

It simply sits on the portable stoves that you can buy from almost any shop in the world. It starts to glow bright red when it gets hot after a minute or so and puts out some decent heat. Looks great in the dark too. Only worry would be children as it does stay very hot for around 5 minutes after use, and it doesn't look it. Use with a little common sense however and its a nice little buy for under a tenner.
Cheers

I agree - looks very interesting! I wonder how much heat it would generate - a touch of warmth on a chilly evening.

Yep we had one and used it on a campingaz stove. However, the heat that is generated below the stove, reflected down from inside the heater, is considerable so be very careful where you stand the stove. The heater did kick out quite a bit of heat but not enough to take the chill off the tent, more a huddle around sort of heater.
After scorching the kitchen stand we decided not to use ours any longer though.

Actually this is only the modern version of a very old fashioned idea.
Take one terra cotta flower pot (one with the drainage hole in the base). Turn upside down and place on stove at a low heat.
"Cook" for and hour or two, last thing at night. Turn off gas and during the night the pot will give off a considerable amount of heat.

I've got one for when not on EHU, very pleased with it. Basically its an open flame cover which radiates the heat. If you need to use the stove, it comes with a pair of tongs to remove to somewhere safe and cool.
Love the terracotta pot idea as well, Lobey! Wouldn't it crack under the heat?

Terra Cotta Pots are fired at a temperature of 800 to 1000 degrees C.
If you can get your camping stove up to that temperature "on a low heat" I reckon more than the pot would crack!!!!
