We want to free up space in our car next trip and we wondered if anyone had any experience of the Handiholdall as opposed to the usual rigid box. Our car is a Skoda Roomster with roof rails as standard. What appeals about the Handi version is the idea you can remove it and use it in your boot, then we wouldn't lose the view through our sun roof!

Any thoughts?

We have Handirack and holdall. Very happy with them overall, only problem is the holdall is not waterproof. Excellent customer service when one of the racks developed a leak and I e-mailed to ask about repairing it, they sent a replacement by return

We have the Handiholdall on standard roofbars. Can't use the Handirack as the car has side curtain airbags. All the light and bulky stuff (sleeping bag, duvet, pillows, inner tents, carpet, towels etc.) goes in it for the trips to and from the campsite and the bag rolls up and lives in the boot for the rest of the trip.

As clunty mentioned, It's not totally waterproof (I suspect it's just the zip as the canvas looks pretty substantial to me, although I haven't had to use it in the rain yet). We keep some large bin bags just in case.

Overall, very happy with it.
