have just ordered a footprint PE ground sheet for my sunncamp evolution 600 , but looking at a camp site they mentioned only breathable groundsheets , just wondering now what i have brought is it breathable?
Might sound stupid but its been 20 yrs since last went camping and this is all new to me............
Breathable groundsheets dont apply to tents , its for caravan awnings.
its a rubbery mesh groundsheet with holes in that lets the grass grow through it. it also lets water in too.
so as most of todays modern tents have sewn in groundsheets ,or at least the bedroom pods have them , a breathable one is of no use for a tent.
a pe footprint groundsheet is not breathable, its waterproof, same as your sewn in groundsheet on the tent.
