Has anyone used these and are they any good? Seen them in a couple of shops and in Aldi today and wondered if they worked.

I wear them whenever I'm working in India and I've never got bitten so I would say yes!

Might get some as I got bitten twice on Saturday and I now have two lovely red lumps on my arm.

I meant to pick some up - I'll try anything - if there is a mozzie within 100 yards it will come searching for me!

I currently use a combination of roll-on, candles and an electric gizmo in the van.  may as well go for the bands and have the full set

I went to turkey one year with a mosquito band and never got bitten once where as the year before without the band I was bitten over 50 times. The time I went with the band I forgot to put in on the morning we were leaving and we were delayed in airport for an hour and I was bitten 32 times in a hour. So I would say Yes a good idea. I use them all them when away in caravan in the summer.

I always seem to get bitten and they can be quite nasty but my partner never get bitten.

Thanks for the advice. They were only £2.99 in Aldi (£4.99) in local camping shop) so I have invested in a set each in assorted colours.

The only way we've found is to keep the net doors zipped at all times and have a handy can of raid for any that sneak in

Would these be the DEET based ones or the natural citronella ones? Which are better / safer?

I was looking at the bands the other day - £2 for 2 in Asda - how long do they stay active for?

I think the deet bands will be more effective but citronella safer especially for children.  Do the Aldi ones have deet in them - Im afraid Avon skin so soft doesn't work on me or my OH (he gets eaten alive) & Im thinking the bands may be a good idea for him in Italy as he uses a deet spray which works (only thing which does work for him) but he gets bitten on the hands anyway when he washes his hands and doesn't re apply the sprays.  Funnily enough he doesn't really get bitten in this country.

Found them on here for £2.87 inc. delivery. Thery contain DEET so would these be the right ones? They say that they repel all biting insects, is that the case?

It's got to be worth doing all of them,

Skin so soft(if it doesn't work then at least you're going to have soft skin,

Citronella candles(if it doesn't  work then at least the pitch will smell nice)

Wrist bands (If they don't work, with all the different colours tell everyone they are a fashion accessory)

Battery Killers (If it doesn't work just tell everyone that it's this years must have)

IF any combination of the above work, Great if they don't it's time to find something else.
