Hiya, just seen a cookworks double boiling ring on argos website, reduced from £29.99 to £14.99 and wondered wether they are ok fro camping as I remember ages ago I was told you can only have a certain ampage on electric pitches.

just to add its catalogue number : 423/1930

Can anyone advise please !

Thanks

Its 2300 watts total, so no, I doubt you will be able to use both rings at the same time on-site without tripping the fuse, something to do with safety apparently!

Must of been a higher amp supply than usual then, depends on the individual site I suppose, most are quite low these days. You'd be pushing your 10amp supply to the limit with that, try not to run anything else while your using it!

I have just posted this on another thread about EHU

on a 230 volt supply with 6 amp hook up you want to be under 1400 watts total

on a 230 volt supply with 10 amp hook up you want to be under 2300 watts total

on a 230 volt supply with 16 amp hook up you want to be under 3600 watts total

check with the site what ampreage the hook up you have is, the large ring on its own is to big for a 6 amp hook up
