We've got one with a zip up front although the first one we had the zip seized up when we went to use it last year. Fortunately I had another spare & wouldn't be without it.
Just incase someone hasn't read that i've recently come back from a scorching 14 nights in cornwall.
While down there bought a beach tent and it had a zip up front great for changing and when having a family paddle, it had 3 pockets around the outside to fill with sand too help with weighting it,ok so your beach bags inside add a little more weight.
We paid £7 saw the same tent for £13 at another store,if your going coastal buy while your their seem to be everywhere. And although very cheap i highly reccomend, very small pack size of ,not an inconvenience at all,1 man assembly in a few mins,great to keep all your beach things together especially kids balls if it's a little breezy.And sometimes a little shade is a relief.

We have something very similar that we bought many moons ago - still going strong and is regulalry used by the boys and their friends over the summer holidays to have picnics in or as a den during water fights!!
we have a pop up tent from Early Learning Centre I bought when my youngest was toddling - he is now nearly 7 and it has been used a LOT!! still going strong but the bag it lives in has seen better days so my sewing kit has to come out for me to make a new bag.
It cost us about £20 at the time but has been so worth it - we have a door on ours (it velcros on with tabs) and I have been known to change in it as has my hubby!

I've been thinking about one of theses, with the pockets, to make some shade for the dogs. They pull down anything that involves guy ropes or poles by getting their leads caught up, I thought one of these might do the trick.
Although I have a good beach shelter I was finding a bit small for getting changed in, so invested in a cheap 4 man tent fro B&Ms - no good for camping, but does make a good beach shelter. Because you can zip it up properly it means that you have privacy.
it go's up in seconds is a very good size and nice and stable aswell.

I had 2 of the type Keely posted, well 2 up until last year when one bent in the winds on Woolacombe beach as I was attempting to put it up. The poles snapped and I just stuffed the lot back into the bag!
I saw a family with a really lovely one by Galert (I think), purple and pink flowery design but I was too far away to ask where they got it from.
I got a pop-up beach shelter from millets year before last, so usefull, paid about £20 was money well spent tho, great when lil one needs to be out of sun/wind for a bit.
We've got a Coleman sundome (£15 from the camping shop in Charmouth, Dorset a few years ago) and it's so handy. The zip up front is useful and it also gives you more groundsheet space too. We even fitted it in a suitcase and took it with us to Florida!
If anyone is interested in beach fishing there are now several open style beach tents which directly attach to a six foot tripod.
