Hiya i have an halfords coolbox and the adapter that looks like it would go in a car 12v socket 1 end and into the coolbox on the other(figure 8lead end) so this dosen't include the big black box
. Recently had to be replaced and it cost me £20 for 1 from halfords, yes cheap compared to buying a new coolbox (V lrg coolbox) but i was wondering what the technical name for this is so i can hopefully buy a spare at a cheaper price.
I can find them including the big black box for £20 but i don't need that bit.
Sorry for confuddled description.

Hi Karla
Is it possible to upload a photograph of your confuddled part or even better, check on ebay which should have the photgraphs included (put halfords cool box/ halfords cool box adaptor in the search section - you may be lucky), should there be the part for sale.

Is it just the 12v power lead you need so that you can use it in the car?

If you are indeed talking about the 12v lead, you could always find a mains figure 8 cable, chop off the 13 amp plug, buy a car cigar lighter plug and wire it yourself.
A lot cheaper than £20.
(Make sure that the lighter plug has an in line fuse.)
