I think we have found the answer to a good nights sleep at last!
We have got so fed up with not sleeping or being cold or too close to the floor on airbeds we decided to take a whole new approach, so after the required multiple trips to the shops to try all sorts we ended up with two extra large Sunncamp concertina campbeds and a wide 7cm outwell self inflating mattress to go on top of each one. Set them up last night and had a night in the lounge on them.
Perfect - Woke up once in the night and didn't have a single ache or pain this morning - can't wait to try them in anger in 2 weeks time!!
i had the same trouble, rolling off slowly deflating air beds n cant get comfy on camp beds, i took a trip to ikea n bought a guest bed, well worth the spend but spent last camp trip stopping everyone trying to have a crafty kip in it!! i think we might be getting another for next trip.
We have two aluminium folding beds with fat airics on top for myself and my son. I find this set up both comfy, space efficient and easy to pack. My OH and daughter prefer the fishing type beds which are heavier and a faff to pack but are more roomy to sleep on plus they have adjustable legs for sloping pitches.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
