I'm sure this sounds a bit daft but what do you do for water? We've tried a couple of different makes of collapsable bottles, some 'soft' ones and jerry cans. None of them seem very successful due to size (too big for car!) or they leak or get too warm etc. We often end up just filling kettle from tap each time but on some sites that's not practical. Also, we've tried keeping it on the floor, on a table, in the car etc. and can't seem to get that quite right either!↲Soooo... What do you use please? Where do you keep it? Any masterful tips from you pros?!↲Trace

I just buy a 2 litre bottle of water from asda now to take with me so can have a brew without hunting for the Blue ' water tap, and then fill that as and when needed. Discard in recycle bin before leaving for home.
Did have a collapsible water container with tap and used to 'sit' it on 3 legged stool so the tap was a good height off ground for putting kettle under, but found water was fresher if collected more often in smaller quantities.
We buy a 4 litre bottle of own brand still water from the nearest supermarket and once it’s empty fill it from the tap. It gets binned when we leave. Keeping water cool can be an issue without a fridge or endless supply of ice packs. I tend to find that keeping the bottle in the shade will help to keep it cooler (certainly ok for making a cup-o-tea) and if I require I just refill the bottle with fresh from the tap or take a litre water bottle. simples
5 litre supermarket brand still water about 99p , the one with a carry handle around the top of the bottle. refill as neccesary and bin at end of trip. No leaks or nasty tasting water and nothing to take up space in the car afterwards.
If I am camping with others and will need extra water I use a 6 pint plastic milk bottle which I buy normally each week anyway. Buying bottled water is fine but I sort of have a thing about paying for water.
When I am on my own I take a 1 litre flask and find that usually lasts me the day. I don't like keeping water for longer than a day.
I have been to a couple of sites recently where the standpipes were actually on or alongside each pitch...very handy indeed and all I had to do was fill the kettle.
Weve used MSR 20ltr dromadry water bags for 15years . used them when we cycled round the world 3years solid use and still going strong . We'd use 1 for untreated water then filter in to the other .folds rolls down to a very compact 30cmx4cm and will stand being squashed in anywhere . exspesive but well worth it i can see us still using them in 20years . We bought a spiggot cap (tap) to make it more user friendly for our kids and theyallso make excelt pillows .
We allso use 2 x 2ltr ortlieb water bladders very simlier to MSR
