We use two ThermaRest DreamTime XL's, they come c/w there own fastening toggles, so joining them together is a breeze, we add a custom made fitted, Queensize cover, so there is no gap and the two become one, it's a great sleeping system and works well for us.

Yes it is possible we bought one, but it is so big when rolled up that it uses up a lot of precious space in the car. We still use our double air bed as the packed size is so much smaller.

Outwell do a double air mat which we use on our trailer tent to improve the comfort of the rather thin matresses supplied as standard.

Having tried a memory foam topper which caused packing problems the SIM though not perfectly sized does a good job & compresses very well.

I got the vango one last week - is a double but has a seam down the middle so it folds in half

7.5cm thick (there are loads of 5cm ones (argos etc), struggled to find the 7.5cm)

Pleased with it, but it's a bit of a monster to pack! (it's now larger than this after inflating but I can get it back into the straps and it's bag!)
