we have an igloo ice cube which is superb, we use froxen bottles of water and even with excessive use at times they have still been partly frozen after 4 days.

we have not upgraded to EHU and i am wondering if i should stick with my igloo or upgrade to an electric cool box.

we do not keep much food in there, we like to buy fresh everyday depending on what we fancy to eat

any suggestions?

if it's working for you I'd keep on using the Igloo, if you do decide to go down the electric coolbox route you'd obviously have the cost of buying the EHU, the coolbox and maybe the mains transformer for something that is working for you already.  We found that the igloo didn't really work for us so have both a coolbox and 3 way fridge now (igloo gets used to put the beers in)

i'm not sure i'd regard an electric box as an upgrade from a decent passive box. IME the powered boxes are poorly insulated and mostly cool to c. 20 degrees below ambient so in hot weather they work poorly. Plus as said you need the tansformer, an ehu lead and you restrict yourself to ehu pitches. We started out with ehu and a powered box and i wish i'd saved the money for a 3 way fridge
