I've just invested in a Coleman Dual fuel stove and, although I've used it for a weekend camping, I have no idea how much fuel I am likely to need for a week camping.
I know I can get unleaded for it easily enough, but the car is pretty jammed already and I'm not sure I'd find room for a 5l petrol can.
So.... How much fuel am I likely to use in a week?
Obviously it depends on how much we use it. We are likely to do a few cuppa's day and an evening meal. Maybe a breakfast once or twice in the week.
I have a double burner. Mostly use the main burner only (so far).
I've bought a half litre fuel bottle along with 2l of aspen 4T. Should I take both bottles of Aspen or would the fuel bottle full be enough. I have no idea.
Good choice! Brill piece of kit imo, I have had one for about 15 years now. I always managed to squeeze in one of the 5L containers, but I never used anything like that much. I would say 2.5L should be easily enough for what you describe, mine is generally used for umpteen cups of tea, coffee and bacon butties for breakfast and an evening meal that almost always uses both burners. Even though I have an FC with a built in gas cooker now, I still take my coleman, cos I trust it so much and it's nice to have the option of taking the cooker outside (apart from the cadac that is - addicted to camping equipment, me???). Of course the beauty of the dual fuel is that you can buy unleaded fuel everywhere, so if you do run out it's not going to be a disaster! Enjoy!
