Went camping last weekend and the Fat Airic my wife was using deflated during the night, on monday I e-mailed Alpkit to ask about replacement valve seals as I couldn't find any on their website. On tuesday I got a reply asking if I meant the full valve, top part of valve or just the rubber o-ring. I e-mailed them back today saying it was just the o-ring that I needed.
When I got home from work there was a letter for me, I opened it and guess what? customer services at Alpkit sent me a complete valve unit including seals free of charge to repair my fat airic.
My hats off to the people at Alpkit, best customer support i've ever had, period! if only everything in life was that easy.
Just thought I'd mention how good they are in case you are thinking about buying their kit.
Customer Service amongst "Camping Specialist" seems to be much better than in any other field I think, well that certainly thats my impression, I recently have had great customer service from both Yeomans and Aerobed, Had Aerobeds for approx 4 years if not longer, my double has recently started deflating, I emailed them to see if there was an easy solution, they sent me a compelte replacement valve in the post free of charge ! I recently bought new tent from Yeomans (Outwell Carolina M) , used it for one weekend, the outer Outwell bag split where the handle is, again, I emailed them, within 3 days they had sent me a new outer bag ! Great Service all round, glad you experienced the same :-)
I must admit Alpkit are one of my favourite companys to deal with, I too agree that their Customer Services are top notch, its a pleasure to deal with them, I only wish one or two others took a leaf out of their book. I have a Fat Airic, its just so cumfee but I believe it is no more, its been superceded by another range, see link.
