Hi Trying to find out how much gas i have left in my 907 cylinder, does anyone know how much the cylinder weighs when empty or when full,as the gas content weighs 2.72kg i can work it out from there. Thank you.
You need to factor in the Tare which is the weight of the 907 Cylinder this is stamped on the side and varies slightly depending on when the cylinder was made, but typicaly will be around 3.75kg so the all up weight of a full 907 with 2.72kg of butane inside it is going to be close on 6.47kg. We used to run two 904's but since getting the trailer we now use two 907's running two cylinders is great you never need worry about when the Gas runs out, so far we have had two years camping out of our 907 and it still has a bit left inside, when it runs out, I will simply switch over to the spare full 907, which in theory will give me two years to get the empty one exchanged for a replacement full one, happy days.
Edit = just weighed my full 907 and it weighs 6.6kg which kinda blows my theory, or my digital bathroom scales could be out, which could be pleasing!.
