Has anyone ever secured a leisure battery in a camping trailer with full split charge set up from a towbar and added an electric hook up and inverter?
My trailer has an ABS cover so effectivley is watertight and seems like a good idea to me as there isn't really safe space in the car for the set up. I've installed them before into my Caravelle, but never by using the tow bar electrics.
Any things i should be aware of? Will the ride of the trailer be an issue for the battery even though it will be secured within its own housing?
Thanks in advacne of any advice / warnings.
i would have a well made box for the battery ,not so much for the batteries sake but if it leaks it would stop the acid getting to anything else in the trailer.
having it in the trailer is no different to having one in a trailer tent so long as the batteries not left discharged for months
