Hi

There are quite a few around, and the ones that I have tried have been pretty good.

All you have to do is measure roughly the width and height of the doorway, and the height of your tent, and make sure that the extension more or less matches, or is slightly bigger. So long as you accept that you're not going to get a perfect fit that clips onto existing tent poles, you'll still get the benefit of wind and rain protection.

We've got an Outwell Universal, now no longer available, and a Gelert Universal. Both do the same job. The Gelert was a quarter of the price of the Outwell, and apart from the glass fibre poles, the Gelert is pretty identical to the Outwell.

I've had the Outwell stuck onto the side of an SV8, the front of an SV8, the side of a Sunncamp Evo 600 and the front of an Outwell Nevada S. It looked a little odd on the Evo, but still did its job.

Hope this helps.

Z

I bought a Kampa sun canopy for our Khyam Ontario 8 and a Lichfield universal canopy for the Licata 400 - both work well and make a big difference to living space.

Vango make generic canopies that are quite popular. I have an earlier version of the Large Canopy in black (so it kind of matches the tent). It Isn't a perfect fit where it meets the tent, but I can live with it.

The Gelert Horizon / Hi Gear Zenobia / Hi Gear Kalahari side porch looks like it will fit the side of most tunnel tents and is worth a look (shop around as in the link I provided it's a bit pricey).

Unfortunately the best way to find a canopy that will fir your tent (baring someone telling you of one the fits perfectly) is to become a bit of a tent geek and start visiting tent displays and trawling the Internet looking for them and the all important dimensions.

We bought the Vango Adventure tarp for our grandson's Vango Alpha 300 - makes a real difference to the space.

We have an Evo 400 and had been looking for a canopy to use with it. After seeing someone on here had used a Vango large canopy with theirs we took the plunge and got one off Ebay. First time out with it was last month in Scotland. Could have done with a little bit of tweaking but it worked a treat.

Will need to sort out something with the guys that go over the top of the Evo though, movement rubbed a small hole which fortunately was only in the sleeve the pole goes through.
