I am trying to buy a Cadac with my points and cannot work out how to do so. I know some of you have got them at 'half the price' equivalent by exchanging vouchers, but I am nearing meltdown trying to do this (shattered after camping trip with small child and new baby)
We did exactly this to buy the Carri Chef Deluxe. Basically take your vouchers (in multiples of £5) to your local Tesco to the customer services desk & they will exchange them for twice their value: you need to ask for Garden department vouchers. Don't go over the amount though as they won't give change, therefore what we did was cash in £65 of vouchers to get £130 of Garden vouchers, leaving us to pay £9.99. Then go online to Tesco Direct, add the Cadac you want to your basket and enter the voucher codes on the printed slips that customer services give you. As you put the codes in, the amount to pay will reduce; just pay the balance on your normal card. You'll most likely be quoted 10 days delivery as it comes straight from the manufacturer, but Cadac phoned the next day & delivered 2 days after so it wasn't too bad. It's a bit of a faff, but a high-spec Cadac for a tenner & a handful of Clubcard vouchers has to be worth it.
Thank you for this post. We were intending to get a cadac for next year. I'd looked at Tesco vouchers but didn't want to use them at face value, it hadn't occured to me I could use this double voucher exchange. So within an hr of reading this post I've exchanged my vouchers and ordered our cadac :o)
Great way of getting an expensive piece of equipment for what seems like next to nothing! I did that a couple of weeks ago and although it didn't really 'need' it it would have been rude to turn down the chance!
