It's a little bit like a slanket but much much better quality and more effective.
Now, it's not the height of fashion and won't be seen at London Fashion Week (or Paris, Milan etc) but it does keep you very warm on a cold night (or day)
I had it on on the Sat night at Pillaton and was so warm I had to take it off. I've since used it at home - and been boiling again so it had to come off (we have no central heating just open fires in all rooms).
Looking forward to trying it out again in October but hoping it'll be too warm to need it.
When you aren't wearing it it all fold up into a pouch which makes a lovely comfy cushion - great for your hed/neck in the car on the journey to or from site.
My friend took one with her once, it was like a blanket but with arms in - is that the same as yours?
Im sure hers was for a 7 foot tall person though!!
I liked the look of them when I saw Jimam's wife wearing one, looked very snug and stylish too, thanks for the reminder I think I will add that to my Christmas list (not long now....)
So, how long are they? I think of slankets etc as being kneelength or longer but in the link the knuffel looks quite cropped, no more than waist length, and a bit more practical.
------------- Tackling life the Western District way
We won one in the Pillaton raffle! Suzie had told us how good they were and when our numbers came up kindly claimed it for us and delivered it to our tent (we had ducked out early due to a cold and sleepy baby!)
I was very impressed with the Human Comfort range as a whole, really well designed and top quality too. Merry, they are a little longer than waist length, I'd say big baggy jumper length!
My son has one, and he lives in it, at home as well as when we are camping. They cover you bum well and also the pocket (which you fold into itself to make the pillow) can be used to put a hot water bottle inside it if you need to. What appeals to me is that as the fleece doesn't have sleeves (even though because of the shape it comes down your arms) you are still able to do things safely (cook etc) without the sleeves getting in the way.
it is sooooo comfortable. I sleep better on it than my matteress on my bed.It has been costly having one mind as I have had to order a new matteress for my bed now LOL. At 10cm thick it's fab and the length is good too at 210cm long.
Sorry I didn't make it to pillaton (my son was sulky all weekend with me) I had a tooth infection and everytime I went into the cold it killed me. I saw the comment about Jame n suzie being obsessed about karsten's (just alittle maybe LOL) but I think I am too (we all have our little obsessions LOL) ,I have been thinking about buying a link tent like theirs on your picci's. Your photo has set me off again and there's 10% off at the mo' so trying to stay away from the karsten tent site LOL.
Away count us in for next years meet and no more pic's of the karsten link tent please. As I think it's too much to ask the real santa for one.
