Your lucky? I read the heading in the 'correct' technical section, I never normally look on here!
Answer is you need a 'remote' thermostat', at the moment the vans temperature is being controlled by wherever the back of your control switch is situated, ie, the wardrobe?
A remote is very easy to fit if you can easily get at the back of your fire, it's a simple jack plug to connect, however if access is difficult then it can mean the gas fire needs to come out!
I supply a remote, infact I devised it and more importantly where to fit the actual sensor, using mine and everything else being up to scratch, you are guaranteed the electric heating will work as you expect...oh, and their 30% cheaper
