Hi there, I have just got a swift challenger, and I need three skylight for it, it an old model, I think 1986, but it mint except for the sklights, just got perspex on them at min. It was dark when we bought it, and didn't notice. And what is the best way to clean the upholstery myself, as I don't want to spend a fortune getting it done by proffesionals, when I am capable enough. So can anyone tell me where to go to get some skylights, I'd prefer second hand ones from a breakers, but I don't know of any. But if I can get them cheap enough, I'd get new, but I doubt I will be able to get hold of any because of the year, unless they have all been mae to the same spec. Thanks. rachel
Thanks, when they say lightvents, are they talking about skylights? it's just that I new to this it my fella hat knows more, but he at work. I will have to measure them then. I am glad to hear that they prob not model specific. Many Thanks. Rachel.
I got a skylight/roof vent from eBay for my 41 year old caravan. Only thing I had to do was make a new wooden frame for it to sit over and then attatched it to the wood using the original screws and bracket. Actually fits better than the original now and opens and closes perfectly!
Just measure the hole so you know what size you need then type "caravan skylight" or "caravan roof light" or "caravan roof vent" into the search box! I paid £35 including delivery for mine.
With regards to cleaning the upholstery, try hiring/borrowing a steam claener or use car valeting foam and a stiff brush. If the upholstery is really badly stained/dirty consider making some new covers - I did this for my caravan and it wasn't expensive to do.
