I forgot to mention it is essential to have a good heat resistance glove or two, doh!
Have fun with your BBQ! Try it out first by burning a bag of charcoal and some sausages perhaps - something that is not too expensive to be wasted if they get burnt!

We also use our BBQ for desserts. Use a double thickness of foil, half some strawberries, a dash of malibu and brown suger. You can use all sorts of fruit and alcohol combination you fancy. Scrunch up the foil parcel and pop on to the BBQ for around 5 minutes. Delicious!
I've been slowly getting through my bbq for veggies recipe book and I really fancy grilled pineapple and that fruity boozy combo sounds fab Glamper Puss
Well, I've bought the skewers you recommended DK (edged not round) and a nice little apron/mitt combo for £4!
Must confess I have bought a Trangia gas burner and 4.5l Billycan but I thought that these purchases will compliment eachother - big pan for new pots or pasta while veggie skewers are on the bbq. I really love cooking so this season is going to be brilliant. Oh yeah! I'll use a firepit for my cast iron sandwich toaster - I've been a bit 'keen'
------------- Get me my dust pan and brush, we're going camping!
I have a Cadac Safari Chef HP, 2 suitcase stoves (I normally carry just one), a Trangia type spirit stove in stainless steel made by Outwell, a Coleman F1 Lite, a Coleman Sportstar multi-fuel stove, and the Go Anywhere BBQ, and an electric kettle.
The Coleman Sportstar stove was purchased with cold weather camping in mind, so that I do not starve in the event the butane/propane canisters fail to work at sub-zero temperature.
The F1 Lite is a spare stove in case I need it, e.g. when I have a party etc... It packs into a very small pouch and is handy.
The Trangia type stove is good for boiling pasta and rice etc...
I believe I have got cooking equipment covered for all eventualities! And yes, I consider myself as very sad too!
