We have an Outwell Oakland XL tent and have been able to obtain spares for all the poles and ferrules except the angled ones. Does anyone know where we can get any from.
Did you ever find anywhere in the UK to get these? (assume you are talking about the black plastic 30degree reducing pole joints that connect the uprights to the roof poles)
After having 2 break a couple of years back, we managed to replace them for 5UKP each. Just had another 5 go in one weekend...all in exactly the same way...leaving only 1 original intact. A retailer I contacted asked Outwell how much to replace...10UKP each, plus 20UKP shipping!! 100UKP to repair an 8 year old tent *insert sad face here*.

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
It is the angled one that goes on the fibreglass poles at the front and back of the tent. there are 2 on each pole, and, no I havent found anywhere I can get them.
Tried Outwell manufacturers direct? mj ( at ) oase-outdoors.com is apparently a contact email :)
My local Outwell retailer told me that they are trying to now deal with customers directly for spares, rather than go via retailers. Everything I have come across on their website and the delay with response to email suggests otherwise(!) but we shall see.
I don't exactly know the items you are talking about but I think it may be worth your while looking in yellow pages for a small metal fabricators workshop. There are several around here that I have used for 'boaty' bits. Usually they are one man businesses situated on industrial estates. This is the type of thing they can knock up in five minutes flat with a bit of bending or welding.
Sounds like an excellent plan! Good suggestion alahol2, thanks. I had looked at manufacturing a fix for it myself but every idea I came up with required more work than to just lay out the ££ for new ones.
Parmit,
I'm looking for one too. I Contacted Scottish Mountain Gear( listed on Outwell's site) who said they could only supply the complete pole set for £45
I'll keep looking for a cheaper solution. For now I have done a quick repair with epoxy and fibreglass.
There have been no comments on this topic in the last year but I suspect this is because people have given up rather than having found a solution.
We had a wrecked angle ferrule (on Oakland XL) in storms in June and no one seemed able or willing to assist. Suppliers only sold what was on their shelves and the manufacturers, Outwell just weren’t interested.
I was looking at the Delta Pegs website and noticed that they offered to, “produce bespoke stainless steel products.” No harm asking I thought and am glad I asked. Rob at Delta Pegs has been a star! He has made a replacement angled ferrule which is stronger than the original and looks completely in keeping with the rest of the kit.
I can thoroughly recommend Rob if anyone needs a replacement angled ferrule of any size (mine was 12.7mm). He has been extremely helpful and prompt in replying.
Contact Rob via the “contact ” link on the Delta Pegs website.

Sorry to jump in but, yes. I posted because I was excited at the prospect of supplying these when they seem difficult to obtain.
