A satellite dish does it for me! And it's not as extravagant as it may seem... I got fed up of getting poor reception in back of beyond places despite having a humongous TV antenna that a NASA Mars mission would be proud of. Less than £100 bought an 'Easy Find' receiver, LNB, dish and a 2nd hand aluminium disco speaker stand (for mounting the dish). I've spent more than £100 on what have turned out to be useless TV antennas...

I have 2/3 when I go away, Status which is built into the van works intermitently some times great some times not, I bought a normal directional aerial from a tv shop and have put it on a 8ft entending awning pole very good most of the time, also a sat dish which is best and lots of channels but takes 10 mins to set up but worth the wait, we only use that for a week away rather than a weekend, You will prob get one for about £60 all in, alot dont take a tv away with them, but as they say everyone to there own we all have different points of view,Ive been vaning for over 30yrs I hope you get the bug as well
