I'm thinking of getting a brolly shelter to cook in and shade the dog/children (obviously not at the same time!) I've heard the blow away/break at the slightest gust of wind so I'd like to hear from someone who has one?
Are the sports brellas any good?
sports brellas
or are these any good?

you will have to cook on your knees even the fishing versions are not suitable as the design is for them to be low to the ground to avoid the wind .
i have seen very expensive ones with storm poles sinking without trace in the middle of ponds in even a moderate gust
a beach shelter would be fine for the dogs and far cheaper
I noticed on our last camping trip someone using one of these for cooking - next day I noticed it in the campsite skip so that possibly says it all!!!! We have a roofed windbreak for cooking which could also be used as a shelter, we found it;s been great. http://www.somersetcamping.co.uk/products/khyam-4-pole-windbreak-with-sunshade-2010-model/378/?source=froogle&utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=comparison_shopping_feeds&utm_nooverride=1
