Hiyas, i have the highgear folding table unit/kitchen stand.

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/hi-gear-kitchen-table-and-stand-p143519

Maybe too heavy & bulky for some but we find this makes it good & sturdy. I use the shelf underneath for storgae of pans etc & washing up equipment. I don't use the wash bowl to wash. It was very warm while we were away last so when i was making sandwiches etc i put the meats, cheese butter etc in there added an ice block & the food was nice & cool while i was spreading bread & butter etc. When we have finished for the night i stack the stoves under too & close the back down on the table, keeps it clean & safe.

We price matched it at Go Outdoors from ...Just Kampers so got it half the price Go were selling them at.

http://www.justkampers.com/shop/folding-cooking-unit-j17105.html

Hope you find the right 1 for you as we all have different needs & ways of using our equipment so im sure you will find many variations.

Madz.

I know this doesn't answer your question but I wouldn't bother with a kitchen unit at all.

A better solution is tables with adjustable legs which gives better stability because a table covers a wider area, gives more space to put things while you're cooking and is multi purpose: not just when camping but can be used for picnics or around the house.

I have three adjustable tables made by (I think) Lafuma.

The latest use to which I am putting one of mine is to put behind my other half's wheelchair (she has broken a leg) on which to put a washing up bowl so I can wash her hair.

Take care

R

We have the same one as Madz.  The Just Kampers kitchen unit with sink.

Perfectly good kitchen for £40.  And I do use the sink!   Very sturdy unit and folds up suitcase style but please bear in mind it is large and heavy if you have car storage issues.

We have got the Royal Easy up one, the second one in the link above and we love it.  Its up within a minute of being out of the bag, no faffing about with poles etc.  It isn't adjustable though in case pitch isn't flat but we have never had any problems with it yet.  I put all my pots and pans and stuff in the cupboards underneath and there is loads of storage.

Tables for us too, OH is tall and finds kitchen units too low, plus I find that there is always oodles of wasted space under them.

Tables with adjustable feet give a large working surface, fold flat and give more room under them to stack boxes or cool bags which avoids the need to transport items in something, unpack into the kitchen and then repack into the box for transporting back again.

We do have one kitchen that gets OH's seal of approval - it's very retro, I'll try to find a pic.
