2 1/4 Lbs of jam make about a Kilogram, thats what my Home Economics taeacher said.  Not sure about LPG though.

I can quite confidently say that 2 1/4 LBs of LPG weighs exactly the same as 2 1/4 LBs jam. Unless of course you plan to weigh one on the moon and one on earth.

I know someone who wraps foam/lagging around the gas bottle and he swears that the gas lasts longer.

if foam/lagging works to make the gas last longer, does that mean these fancy gas bottle covers will work in the same way? If thats true, Ile by my gas bottle a nice coat for the summer.
