recently bought an electric cool box from Aldis that has a 12V car power lead and a normal 230V plug. We are going to Holland this summer where we will have an electric hook up for our tent and am wondering if there is a power converter/adapter that will allow us to use the cool box?
By the way we had it in our tent this weekend with no power from Friday afternoon till Sunday morning with a couple of bags of ice it was excellent - put ice in the freezer when we got home!!
If your cool box can run on 230v mains you can run it ok in Holland using your ehu lead same as UK. All campsites in Holland I have been to use same ehu socket as UK to fit the blue/white plug on your ehu lead.
If you mean that you don't actually have a tent electric hookup unit, buy one in't UK & you can use it in Holland as described.
You could buy a French ehu adaptor from your nearest camping shop just in case as French & Dutch domestic sockets are interchangable, but I doubt you will need it.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
