I have a Weber Smokey Joe, which is excellent but due to it's shape isn't easy to pack and takes up too much room. I'd like a Weber Go Anywhere, but they are unavailable now. I happened to notice these two in Tesco this week. The suitcase one at £12.50 and the notebook one at £7.50. Has anyone tried either of these. I quite liked the suitcase one and even if it only lasted a couple of years it wouldn't be the end of the world at that price. They also had Cadac gas bbq for £30.00.
I've got the Tesco suitvase one(picked by my daughter in bright pink!) and it works very well. There's 6 of us and it has enough cooking area to manage well. Takes one bag of instant charcoal perfectly and cooks for around 2 hrs. The lid and top vent allow for flexibility of use too.
Another vote for the Tesco suitcase bbq, really impressed the the generous cooking area and the lid makes a good windsheild. Fold out legs, so nothing to build. Dyas sell them too under Anthony Worral Thompson brand.
Another vote for the suitcase bbq (outs is from Dyas). You can transport a bag of the instant light charcol inside, when packed in car to save space and the warming rack is just brill to keep stuff ready to eat warm. Can't see this bbq being any good to use as a firepit after cooking though because of the warming rack and lid - that is my only downside.
Well I was away camping this weekend and happened to pop in to Norwich Camping and Leisure. They had one Weber Go Anywhere on the shelf. I asked how much to the Sales Assistant, who couldn't find a boxed on anywhere. The Manager then came over and explained that it has been discontinued, but I could have the display one for £39.99. I snapped it up as it was just like new - it's only been sitting on display! Apparently, new legislation means that a heat guard needs to be fitted under the handle on the lid, so Weber can no longer sell the Go Anywhere in its current design.
This one caught my eyes while browsing the web, and saw the gas version at the campsite where I am staying at the mo, and it looks quite well built, and the foldable legs makes it compact when folded:
I thought about getting a good quality bucket BBQ as I am only one person, however, I realise I eat rather a lot, so it will be too small, as I like to grill veggie kebabs and sweetcorn as part of my meal.

Well done in getting one!
Go Outdoors in Norwich apparently still has stock, in case anyone is interested.
I have not been stupid enough to try and lift the lid without wearing my BBQ glove, however, I can believe some people may.

I bought the Asda notebook one for £15 a week or so ago. Tried it out in the garden and camping this weekend and it works fine. Hasn't buckled or anything either.
Much easier to use if you stick the foil in it first.
