Just wondered if anyone has one of these in place of a roofbox. We parted with our roofbox a couple of years ago when we got our trailer, but now thinking one of these would be good for airbeds and bedding etc and free up a bit of space for comfort in the car!
What do you think?
------------- May/June - Spring Valley
Aug/Sept - Leekworth
we just bought a roofbox, we where going to go for a softbag type but I read a few reviews that mentioned that they were not completely waterproof (which seems odd?!) And you also have to take care when zipping it up and ensure its not overfilled more so on a bag type one.
Also I didn't want to have to hang it in the house/line to dry it at least the box you can wipe.
Although if we had gone for it we would have got the Thule 340L one from roofbox.co.uk.
Hiyas we have the Purpleline Stowaway Roof Bag. Did us good over to Holland. We had rain on our return & all was well. We managed to fit in all bedding for 4 people, 2 single & 1 dbl airbed, 2 inflatable sofas, towels for 4 ( bath.hand & tea ) & numerous fleece & picnic blankets. We had all bedding/towels vac packed ...still had room for more stuff if we had needed it.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
