Just curious are they any good ????,we are going to France in August and the last thing i want to be doing is swatting flying things every 2 seconds !!!!!can anyone recomend any that are good and work please ,many thanks xxlouise xx
Yes. I buy them all the time. Great for BBQ eating in garden. I live in the Scottish outback where the midges flourish. Big candles are a must in the summer.
I have some smaller jar type to take camping along with some Tlights. Not tested them yet but I'm sure they will be fine.
------------- Camping = doing things I don't do at home.
Cycling, cycling and er cycling
not had a problem as yet with the flying foe, since we got the caravan, but we used to use a quite large citronella candle from towsure, when we used to go camping under canvas, the one we opted for comes in a little tin bucket and used to last us 2 or 3 trips, worked really well too
the little bucket used to come in handy in it's own right when we'd used the candle, i used to use the bucket as a paint kettle when decorating
------------- no tin tent outings booked as yet ,just another cruise in Sept' booked so far
When I camped in France I bought some concentrated citronella oil and put a good splash around the tent door - it smells very strong of lemon but never had a problem and we were camped among trees.
