We've had an Outdoor Revolution EasiPorch for a few years now and it's pretty well put together,(..especially as we only paid about 70 odd quid for it).

You're right though,the "lightweight" awnings seem to be quite expensive now..

Not sure what size you're after but just take a look in the Free Ads at the top of the page..there are loads of awnings for sale..there'd bound to be a bargain to be had,somewhere amongst them..

I'm considering buying a lightweight porch awning but the reviews are mixed?

Does anyone have any advice regarding the pro's and con's on lightweight awnings?

Well,a lightweight,easy to store,comparatively easy to erect awning,that is really designed for "occasional" use,is never going to satisfy someone who is after a full blown,"old style",heavy "Canvas type",steel poled awning...

..my brother has various "proper" awnings for caravan and admittedly,when they are up,they are really smart and sturdy..but boy it takes some faffin' about to erect 'em!..

..and not having to "faff" about,was the reason we moved away from tents in the first place...

It all depends on what you are after I suppose...
