I have a Horizon 8 porch, which we used for the first time at the end of May when we went camping.

I'd bought a fairly big tarpauline to go inside it (had to fold it over, but it still went out of the sides of the porch, as there is a gap of several inches all around it.

However, it poured with rain one evening/night, and there was water all over the tarp the next day (though not a drop in the tent, thankfully!)

I had bought 3 door mats from Poundland, to make a 'path' down the middle down the middle, in case of coming in from outside with wet/muddy feet, but the mats got soaked through.

So I have ended up buying some of the foam, clip-together mats (2 ft x 2 ft)  and will put them inside the porch instead.

Obviously they will take up more room in the car than a folded up tarp (haven't quite figured out exactly how I'm going to get everything in my car for the next camping trip - it was packed to the brim last time...) but they won't reach outside the porch, should be a lot warmer underfoot, and easier to get water off if they do happen to get wet.
