We are pensioners and gladly lend our caravan and awning outfit to the family. Our caravan steps do not seem that strong for my son's family as they were returned last year in a U shape formation, the middle of the step touching the ground! Yes we did laugh!  But we now need to be sensitive, and try and find a solution. We will gladly and happily buy another step. We are not up for suggesting that they  loose weight. Anyone have any recommendations for a superstrong step?

I'd lend them the caravan without a step and see if one comes home with it!

Hi and welcome to the site
We use steps like these, they are made of steel and are wide.Heavier than aluminium but who cares they are very strong and i would recomemd them.I dont know if their for a static caravan but suit my need.

Thanks Kate and Jeff for your replies. We like the look of your steps Jeff and would like to know where you got them from please, and did they come with the rubber matting tops?

Best wishes Rascalemily

We got these they are made out of aluminium but do appear to be well made & the steps themselves are approx 3mm thick.

we've recently replaced a single plastic step with the double Royal one here. I searched for the best price and it arrived 36 hrs after we ordered it. Its well made and very sturdy.

They were made by Melenco and came with the rubber on the top of the steps.Had a wee look at their site and i dont think they do them any more. You might be able to get them of a site called Gumtree where people buy and sell things.Gumtree is advertised all over.Just type in Gumtree and your area.EG Gumtree Glasgow that would be mine.Hope you get fixed up as their great steps and their wide.
