hi - can anyone recommend good sleeping bags for children (6 & 5 year old). We are camping in the UK in a couple of weeks and I want something warm for them. Is it worth buying kids sleeping bags or would adult bags/mummy bags be just as effective? What tog/gsi/season should I be looking at??

Agree with the above suggestion. Our son has used a technical adult mummy bag since 2 1/5. Millets are currently doing an excellent sale price with an extra buy 1 get 1 half price deal on their Adventurer 300 bags - which makes a £50 bag about £22. They are 3 season bags with one of the best comfort ranges out there -2 to +25 comfort and -10 extreme and for this price = a bargain.
We got ours last year and they are much better than our old Vango Wilderness 350s, with a lot of the technical features that you are supposed to need in a bag.

We got our 5 year old an Urban Escape kids bag from Halfords, pretty sure it is three season (at work now so can't check!). It has plenty of growing room and it was only £12, she loves it. Also got the wife an adult Urban Escape (again 3 season I think) for £19. I use a old Snug Pak I've had for years, in my younger climbing days I've camped in minus 5 with it and still been toasty!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
