Hello All,

We purchased a Coleman Event Shelter last year, and this last weekend just gone was only the second time we have pitched it, as many will know last weekend was a bit of a washout, the fabric of the shelter held out extremely well, though all the seams leaked like billy ho.
I have read that it should have taped seams, though the one we have does not. Basically my question is I have seen Fabsil in aerosol form would this be any good for spraying on the seams to waterproof them, or does anyone know of a better product which they have used?
Many Thanks
Keith

you might find that now it has been wet and the material has 'swelled' it wont leak anymore, when i buy new items like that i put them up give them a good wetting with the hose allow to dry then put away and they dont usually leak again as the material where the stitching is has 'swelled' closing the minute holes the needle on the machine leaves.
We also used one of those event shelters this weekend it has been wet a few times when up and it didnt leak at all

Evening Chatterdog,

Thanks for the reply, thats a good idea with all this good weather may be an ideal oppurtunity to get it on the lawn and get the hose pipe out.

Cheers
Keith
