Hi we have a Kampa Alfresco double hob......neva been camping and are going soon.....not sure what regulator to get or where is cheapest.....it seems a little baffling? Any help would be great! Ta x
It's probably the standard tubing you need but (without checking) I suspect the diameter is printed on the tube.
Butane is generally considered the best choice for summer. The only issue with butane is when the temperature drops toward freezing and the gas stops vaporising, giving a feeble burn. So for winter camping propane is a better choice.
Blue regulator for Butane, Orange for Propane, it will probably be standard 8mm tubing you need. Unless you plan on camping in temperatures that would freeze the nuts off a brass monkey, then Butane is fine and cheaper :)

Thanks Guys! Will get some butane gas, anyone know where cheapest? Thanks for all your help! Clare x
What size gas bottle are you planning on taking with you ?
I have the 4.5kg butane bottle, I got it from my local recycle tip for nothing. If you don't have a bottle you will need to pay about £30 deposit and then about £15 for the gas, so your first stop should be the tip and try and talk to the nice men there. Then just shop around locally for a refill/swap :)

The OP said that it was 5.9mm, so 8mm tubing will be no use.
5.9mm quoted might be the internal diameter rather than the outer, look for images of the cooker and the fitting looks like the standard 8mm. It also says that Butane or Propane regulator can be used and they are standard 8mm hose fittings as far as I know.
if you go to your local bottled gas supplier , try and avoid calor as they charge a deposit on the bottle , if you can take the appliance with you , all the better , then take their advice as to which bottle , regulator , pipe and clips you require , if its a small independent he'l probably set it up for you at the same time ,, happy cooking ,,
