Hi, was just about to purchase a Cadac mini chef but I cannot get any gas cannisters to go with it. My question is: does it have to be the Cadac cylinders or is there an alternative I can use.
I used a coleman canister for about £6 from go outdoors, but argos advertise 4 for £15.00. Dont take the online statement as being out of stock seriously though, they say out of stock for reservation as you have to be over 18 to buy them, so you have to physically order them in store so they can see you are over 18.

I got mine from an e-bay called online-fishing. Bit pricier than argos but very quick delivery. Re last post about argos saying they were out of stock ect don't bank on them having them in the store cos they didn't at ours and weren't epecting a delivery for at least a fortnight - unless I looked under age- yea right!!!!!!!!!!
Any EN417 canister will do. That is basically any threaded cannister except for the Campingaz ones and also the long cannisters the same shape as an aerosol.
You should be able to get Cadac ones from Argos at a good price but collect only
