Just a tip...as you will have discovered, there is a cut-out switch on the bottom in case it gets knocked over (or there is on mine). In a tent you will need to place it on something solid like a book (I use a tea tray) because it will keep cutting out if you place it on an unstable surface like a wobbly groundsheet.

Just another tip though re heaters in tents...hot air rises so you need the heater as low down as possible to heat the cold air coming off the groundsheet otherwise you might have a hot head and cold feet
