We bought a secondhand Pennine Pathfinder Folding Camper last year and with it came a load of extras that we were not expecting.
Amongst these goodies we found two half sized single electric blankets that we immediately stuck in a drawer at home and forgot about. Afterall, who ever heard of anyone going camping and taking Electric Blankets????
We don't even use such things at home.
Well last June we planned to tour Northern Ireland and Donegal for a month and because the weather might be a bit chilly at nights, we decided to put in these blankets, just to take the chill off the beds you know!
Well, by gawd, did we ever need them. They ended up on every night, aye and some nights they were switched on two hours before we went to bed and then turned down to keep us warm through the night.
They have proved to be so essential to our camping comfort that we are now investing in full sized ones that will heat the whole of the beds. (we each have our own double bed in the camper).
So there you go, a couple of useless items, so we thought, that are now at the top of our bedding list and as we now have to be on EHU for medical reasons, they will be with us on every trip.
