Does anyone have any suggestions for the best aerial for a portable freeview dvdplayer/tv. We have one which got us threw the w/e but we were only able to receive a few tv channels. Ideally we would prefer a small one.

This is a copy of a reply by Martin Pickering of "Satcure" to an earlier but similar request and I can assure you that he knows his stuff!

I defy anyone to find a better aerial than the one reviewed here : http://leisure.prior...tv-aerial.shtml
It may not have a pretty plastic housing but it works well and doesn't need an amplifier unless you are feeding more than one TV.

digital tv is far more line of sight than analogue some people may never get a full service whatever aerial they use ,we get nothing here on a big aerial but where we camp usually we get a full lineup on a 1 foot long aerial with bent bits right left and centre

I have one of these similar to what FB above describes. It didn't come with a mast like this one - I just chuck it on the roof and it stays put! LOL... tried lots of different ones, but went back to this. on the pics in my gallery.
